Theft of Donation box

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the theft of the donation box from Church of the Holy Church, Ilam Moor Lane, Ilam.

Sadly between 4:30-8pm on Wednesday 29th April the donation box has been forcibly removed and stolen. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in Ilam around the church to get in touch. 

The donation box is made from metal and is described as being rectangular in shape (approx 15inches by 5 inches).  

Rural churches are often left unlocked to allow people to go in, this leaves them extremely vulnerable. If you live in a rural village or are visiting please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Police.
